The Global Urban Trek is a six-week immersion summer program that invites students and staff nationwide to live among the poor in major metropolitan cities, listen to their stories and experiences, and learn about what God has been doing in their neighborhoods and communities. Our teams are invited to partner with local non-governmental organizations working to resource and empower locals in pursuing God’s shalom (peace, wholeness) in their communities. The Trek hopes to challenge our students to learn about the intersection of faith, poverty, and justice.For more information and to apply contact Queenie Serrano, National Director of Global Urban Trek.

Queenie is the Director of Global Urban Trek. A History graduate at Sacramento State, she has lived in the Sacramento area for 12 years and has served as a campus staff in the Sacramento area for 8 years, staffed Justice Programs in Sacramento and has directed Global Programs to the Dominican Republic for three years.
