Four Reasons to Go on a Global Program

Experience God

The Lord cares for you and the place you’re going to. He’s called every one of us to follow Him to Judea, Samaria, and the rest of the World. When we step into that calling, we experience Him in ways that we haven’t before. We experience Him on the campuses we visit, the streets we walk down, in the songs we sing, and the relationships we build. In stepping out of your comfort zone and into the world, we experience God in ways we never could at home.

Experience Culture

The world is an incredible place filled with beautiful people to meet, unique stories to be told, new foods to taste, and adventures to be had. A Global Program immerses you in a different culture, allowing you to walk alongside individuals whose lives may look much different from your own. Your new friends will challenge your worldview, forcing you to grow closer to them, yourself, and God.

Experience Your Passions

College is a time of finding yourself, your passions, your future career. How many times have you changed your major? Maybe you started as a business major and after taking your introductury psychology class, discovered you were more interested in understanding others than the priniciples of management and economics. By stepping out of your comfort zone and into a new culture, you are given the opportunity to learn about your perceived limitations, your strengths, and your passions. Just like the class that inspired you to change your major or add a minor, the Lord can use your experiences on a Global Program to reveal the things you care deeply about.

Why not?

College is a wonderful time of learning, growth, and experiences. In considering a Global Program, ask yourself 'why not?' Why not take one summer to visit a new country, learn part of a new language, try new foods, and meet new people? What other time in your life will you have an opportunity to spend your summer overseas?

Your friends, that summer job, your favorite coffee shop-they’ll all be there when you get back. By “leaving” things behind to go on a Global Program, you’ll gain much more than you left behind.
