Overall Goal for an Athletes InterVarsity Global Project: • To develop, disciple, and release extraordinary Kingdom leaders • To partner with the global Christian movement in seeking how to effectively respond and engage in issues of injustice • To have a symbiotic relationship, both qualitative and quantitative, with local communities and NGO’s while in Uganda that does not create a burden to the host or people they are serving. Proposed project: 12-15 total 5-6 Athletes 1-2 AIV Staff 5-6 IV students 1-2 IV Staff Length: • 21-25 days Estimated Cost per person: $3,500 Student Requirements: • Soph/Jr • Two athletes from a campus • Totally cleared with coach • Committed to engaging athletic community • Student leaders or potential student leaders

Students studying in North America who are Sophomores/Juniors, two athletes from a campus, are totally cleared with coach, committed to engaging athletic community and are student leaders

Rachel Dean has served for four years as campus staff minister at Smith College, Mount Holyoke College, and is also a former college athlete. Last year, Rachel helped develop and lead the first Athletes InterVarsity Global Program to Uganda.
